G19/G20-Hi, my name is Amelia Brewer. I am 18 years old and live in Elba and I will be attending Cornell University in the fall. My passions are showing dairy cows and raising Havana rabbits. In the past I’ve sold two dairy steers, a pen of meat chickens, and this is my second year selling meat rabbits. I’ve been the Master Rabbit Showman for the last 4 years. I enjoy raising and showing my Havana rabbits because I find having rabbits is relaxing and not as crazy as showing cows.  Please consider purchasing my Californian market rabbits.

G9/G10-Hello, as many of you know me, my name is Ella Christ. I am participating in the
2023 auction this year with my two meat rabbits. These rabbits have required lots of
work including measuring their feed, tracking their weights daily, and getting them
enough exercise for the best meat possible! I would like to invite you to the 2023 4-H
Market Animal Auction Sale where these two rabbits will be up for sale. The sale begins
at 6:30 pm on Thursday, July 27 and lots of other animals will be auctioned off as well.
Rabbits will start off the auction followed by chickens and etc… Come enjoy the fair and

G11/G12-Hi, my name is Evan Winspear. I am 14 years old. I live on my family farm with my parents and sister in Oakfield. I will be going into 9th grade at Elba Central School. 

This is my 6th year doing meat chickens. I will be having 2 pairs of meat chickens. This year I raised 18 Cornish cross meat birds. We had the show on Saturday July 1st. I had one set that was 7th and the other set was 8th out of 39 pairs of birds. I bought them when they were a day old. I gave them turkey starter and fresh water and then I moved them outside and kept them on turkey feed and lots of fresh water. The last 3 weeks they were able to free range so they could get exercise and lots of fresh air. 

I am also selling a pair of meat rabbits they are Califarions does. I bought them when they were 7 weeks old. I have been feeding them 18% rabbit feed, hay and fresh water.  I have not shown them yet. Our show is on Saturday July 22nd the first day of the fair. This is my second year doing the meat rabbit program. 

I would like to invite you to the Genesee County 4-H Market Animal Auction at the Genesee County Fairgrounds on Thursday. July 27th, 2023 at 6:30 pm in Batavia, NY. I hope you will consider buying one of my pairs of animals. I am saving my money to buy a compact tractor to use on the farm.

G15/G16-Hello, my name is Juliet Miller and I am eight years old. I am in the third grade at Oakfield-Alabama. This is my first year as a Genesee County 4H market program member, and this is my first year raising market projects. I am active club member in GC Goat Club and the Fur and Feather club. 

This year I plan to sell my two market goats Jasmine and Riley. Both Jasmine and Riley were born on our farm and I have cared for them since the day they were born. I also plan to sell a pair of market rabbits. I have enjoyed taking part in the 2023 Market program. I plan to put proceeds from this year’s market program into building, breeding, and raising my own herd of meat rabbits to continue using in future market programs.

17A-My name is Mae Grimes and I live in the village of Alexander. I have been a
member of many different 4 H clubs within Genesee County for the last eight
years. I am a member of the Market Poultry club this year which is raising
Cornish Cross meat chickens. I worked hard to raise top quality meat birds. I
learned how to care for the birds and make sure they were well fed and taken
care of. I learned how important it is to take responsibility daily for the birds. At
our recent live meat bird show my Broiler Pen earned Reserve Championship
ranking.
